What's New: Feature Releases and Platform Enhancements

New Feature: Streamline Your Customer Journey by Pre-Populating the Cart

We're excited to introduce our new cart pre-population feature for Shoppbale® DTC Lite, designed to remove even more friction from your customers' shopping experience. This functionality automatically adds products to a visitor's cart when they arrive through specially crafted links, creating seamless pathways from your marketing campaigns directly to checkout.

The feature works through simple URL parameters that specify which products to add, quantities, and variations. This means you can now create direct links for email or PPC campaigns that instantly populate a customer's cart with featured products. You can also design social media promotions that skip the browsing step entirely and you don't need to rely on interstitial landing pages where you can lose the consumer. Use this new feature to guide visitors further down the funnel and straight to the cart to complete their purchase.

Whether you're running sales, promoting specific product bundles, or creating personalized shopping experiences, cart pre-population transforms how customers interact with your campaigns. Instead of hoping they'll find and add the right products, you can deliver them directly to a pre-loaded cart, significantly reducing the steps between discovery and purchase.

The feature is now live in both our staging and production environments, ready to enhance your marketing strategies and improve conversion rates across all your customer touchpoints.

New Enhancement: Enhanced Catalog API Brings Powerful Filtering and Sorting

We've rolled out significant improvements to our Catalog API that give shoppers more control over how they browse and discover products. These new capabilities make it easier for customers to find exactly what they're looking for while exploring your product offerings.

The latest updates include essential sorting and filtering functionality that shoppers expect from modern e-commerce experiences:

  • Price Sorting - Sort products from highest to lowest price or lowest to highest price
  • Category Filtering - Filter results by specific product categories
  • Sale Item Filtering - Quickly identify and display only products currently on sale

These features help reduce decision fatigue and guide shoppers toward products that match their preferences and budget. The new functionality is accessible through our updated API documentation, with full technical details available in the swagger docs under the /catalog endpoint section. We've implemented a flexible sortBy parameter that makes integration straightforward for developers.

This release represents the first phase of our enhanced catalog capabilities. We're actively developing additional sorting and filtering options based on customer feedback and usage patterns. These foundational enhancements lay the groundwork for even more sophisticated product discovery tools coming soon.

New Enhancement: EAA Shoppable® Cart & Checkout UX Updates

As the European Accessibility Act (EAA) takes effect, we've made significant investments in ensuring our platform meets the highest accessibility standards. We've achieved full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance through comprehensive improvements that benefit all users.

Key Accessibility Improvements:

June 2025 Checkout Updated for EAA 2

Enhanced Readability and Navigation: We've implemented improved color contrast ratios and typography choices that prioritize clarity for users with various visual needs. Our entire platform is now fully navigable using only a keyboard, with clear focus indicators and logical tab orders that follow the natural content flow.

Comprehensive Content Accessibility: All images now include meaningful alternative text descriptions that provide context for screen reader users. We've ensured that no critical information relies solely on color, using multiple visual cues including text labels, icons, and patterns to convey important information.

Structured and Clear Communication: Our platform features a logical heading structure (H1, H2, H3) that creates meaningful page outlines for assistive technology users. Every form field includes clear, descriptive labels with helpful instructions provided upfront, while our error messaging system now provides specific, actionable feedback instead of generic messages.

Touch-Friendly Design: All interactive elements meet the minimum 44x44 pixel touch target size with adequate spacing to prevent accidental activation, benefiting users across all devices and abilities.

These improvements are built on semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and code that works seamlessly with assistive technologies. We've established comprehensive testing procedures, including both automated scanning and manual testing with screen readers and other assistive devices.

Accessibility isn't a one-time project for us—it's an ongoing commitment to inclusive design. The improvements we've made create a better, more intuitive experience for everyone while ensuring equal access to digital commerce for all users.

New Enhancement:  Enhanced Order Analytics with Amazon Link-Off Tracking

We've expanded our Order Data reporting capabilities in DTC V6 with the addition of Amazon link-off tracking. This new functionality provides crucial visibility into customer behavior when they navigate from your product pages to Amazon, giving you valuable insights into cross-platform shopping patterns and purchase decisions.

Amazon link-off tracking captures when customers click through to Amazon from your product pages, helping you understand how often shoppers are comparing options or completing purchases on the marketplace.

The tracking data is now available through a dedicated "Link Off Breakdown" report in your dashboard, making it easy to monitor and analyze Amazon click-through patterns alongside your existing analytics. Whether customers are price comparing, checking availability, or simply prefer purchasing through Amazon, this behavioral data helps you optimize your omnichannel strategy and understand the full customer journey across both your owned channels and marketplace presence.

This update is available immediately in DTC V6, seamlessly integrating with your current reporting workflows. You can now access comprehensive Amazon link-off insights directly from your dashboard's Link Off Breakdown report without requiring any additional setup or configuration changes.
